Carrie Underwood and her hockey playing beau, Mike Fisher, got engaged last month. And with an awe-inspiring ring on her hand and a wedding in the works, the “American Idol” alum admits that while she’s busy planning her tour and Mike is busy playing hockey, they are both helping each other out to work out the details of their nuptials.

“He jumps in, and he always says he doesn’t. he’s like, ‘Oh, I don’t care. Just whatever you want!’…But then I go and ask him, ‘What do you think about this?’ and he’ll go ‘Oh, no,’ and he’ll weigh in,” she said in a Jan. 2 radio interview with the Ottawa, Canada show “Grecosize,” which is hosted by her trainer, Tony Greco. “I think he’s going to be more involved than he initially thought he wanted to be, which is good. I need help.”

While she admits it’s going to be hard for the pair to pin down a place and time since they live in different countries, she does hope they will be able to get all the planning completed for their wedding. “It seems like this past year when I have time off they have away games … We’re hoping the summer will be some nice time for us to spend consecutive days together,” she revealed, adding they don’t have a date yet.

“Our schedules don’t provide us too much time to get married and have time to really enjoy being married,” she said. “We’re trying to really work it out and move some stuff around.”
