Carrie Underwood is getting married!
“I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier,” her rep tells PEOPLE. “No wedding date has been set at this time.”
The Ottawa Senators player spoke about the happy event on Monday, according to the Toronto Sun.
“It’s true,” he is quoted as saying. “We’re both obviously excited and very happy.”
Fisher, 29, reportedly proposed at his home Sunday afternoon and then sent messages to his friends with the good news later that day.
Underwood, 26, and Fisher have kept their year-long relationship mostly under the radar, but Underwood declared her love for Fisher in the liner notes of her new album, Play On.
“I love you so much!” she wrote. “You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day.”

I am so happy but at the same time heartbroken. i know she has virtually no idea who i am besides from the shirt with my name on it i gave her in champaign, but i love everything about her. she is the most amazing person i have ever seen. I guess i can only say that i am happy that she has found someone like that. Congrats to her.

That’s awesome! I’m a little sad…hey, I’m a girl, I know…but I liked Carrie single and unmarried. It made her more innocent, so I’m fairly sad, but I’m also happy for her. I know she’s happy with her decision, and while it’s only been a year — wow! — I think she knows, in her heart, that this is what she wants. And as one of Carrie’s loyal fans, if she’s happy, I’m happy. 
Congratulations Carrie. May you and Mike have a very happy and successful relationship together for many years to come.

That is great! But yeah, it has only been a year and Carrie and Mike don´t live together, they don´t see each other on a daily basis…It is a little too soon for me, to be honest. I hope they will make it, Carrie deserves to be happy!

Lenka~ You don’t have to live with someone before your married to know for sure that it’ll work. A lot of people don’t get to see there bf/gf on a daily basis. I know that they’ll make it. Carrie wouldn’t have said yes if she wasn’t positively sure!

you don’t need to live together, i think leaving together loose the excitement of marriage. Like she said she is old fashion and I really admired her for that. What happen to all old fashioned women, i think leaving together is on the guys advantage not womne.

Marriage is so much more than a piece of paper. It is the unity of a man and woman as one body in the eyes of God. This is why Carrie and Mike have chosen not to live together. They want to remain pure in God’s eyes until they are “one”. And Alex, you need to leave your negative comments off this site. This site is designed for people who love Carrie and not anything else. You don’t need a piece of legal paper to be in love with someone, just ask Adam and Eve or anyone else that was “Married” before law’s came into play giving couples incentive to be with each other.

You don´t need a piece of paper to be in love with someone, that is right. If you have kids it is better to have one, I guess. Everyday life is a bit different than a long distance relationship. I am not saying that Carrie and Mike won´t make it, I hope they will! When it comes to love, you never know what is going to happen. I am a Christian too, but I don´t understand why living together before wedding is so wrong. If you love the person you live with, there is nothing bad about it.
